AB and Vuylsteke build the Schools of Tomorrow

On 10 March 2020, AB signed the order for the dBM Cluster 149bis for the construction of three schools as part of the “Scholen van Morgen” project. At the end of last year, AB and Vuylsteke also secured the building of a school in Bruges and the expansion of Prizma Middenschool in Izegem.

The 149bis cluster includes the design, construction, and maintenance of three schools. AB is responsible for the construction of the three schools and RAV+ is responsible for maintenance for 30 years. It concerns Tangram School in Vilvoorde, MPI Oase boarding school in Ghent and the new building of the Blue Gate Technical Campus in Antwerp. The total cost for the construction of the three schools together amounts to EUR 27.8 million, with the maintenance price set at over EUR 380,000.

At the end of last year, Eiffage Vlaanderen, the partnership between AB and Vuylsteke-Eiffage, also received an order for the dBM Cluster 145 from the “Scholen van Morgen”. An order worth around EUR 37.7 million in total. The work involves both the new construction of the VTI Bruges on Vaartdijkstraat and the expansion of the Prizma Middenschool in Izegem. Here too, RAV+ is responsible for maintenance for a period of 30 years.

We are expanding our experience within the school building sector with these excellent projects. AB positions thus itself as a frontrunner in the construction of schools in the Flemish landscape.
